Bodybuilding myths

After following conventional bodybuilding recipes for years with little success, it became apparent to me that for the most part, bodybuilding is a sport of myths and half-truths.  The biggest myth that still exists is the "eat more" line.  People will tell you to eat more if you have hit a plateau, but will never specify why, or what you should eat more of.  The end result is that you will still be stuck at the same plateau, only now you will have more body fat.  Not very successful, if you ask me.
