It's no secret that one of the most difficult aspects of body building is maintaining a workout schedule. Routines become stale, lifts become boring, and you begin to drag your butt. It's a sad fact of life, but it is avoidable by maintaining energy levels. In my case, my butt would drag when my nutrition wasn't up to spec. I wasn't eating properly, and my energy and motivation levels suffered because of it. After discovering the source of my problem, I worked out a way to deal with it.
A lack of carbohydrates was my problem. I was simply not eating enough healthy, complex carbs to fuel my body during my intense workouts. This was made even worse by the fact that I was a poor student at the time, which meant maintaining a good body building diet was definitely hurting the bank account. I had to devise a way to come up with a solid diet plan that would make my time in the gym worthwhile. It was then that a gym buddy, who was aware of my situation, pointed me in the direction of the Somanabolic Muscle Maximizer software. I was apprehensive initially, as I had no real experience with nutrition and diet building programs, and also didn't like the idea of eating on a "schedule". I preferred to eat whenever, and my physique and body building goals were suffering because of it.
After looking around online, asking on the various body building forums that were online at the time to see if anyone else had heard of it, I decided to take the plunge. I was quite satisfied with the software, primarily because of how powerful it was. After putting in my info, my goals and what-not, the software made it incredibly easy to come up with a nutrition and eating program that I could live with. It also listed the foods I would need to eat in order to achieve my goals. Suffice to say, the number of carbohydrates specified was much, much higher than what I had been eating before that.
With the blast of carbohydrates, I found myself rejuvenated in the gym. Instead of being dead and exhausted after a set of squats, I was roaring to go again. It truly is amazing what adequate carbohydrate intake can do for your energy levels both in and out of the gym.
